Talk to the staff providing your care
If you need a situation to be resolved while you are in our care, talk to the staff caring for you or ask to speak with the manager.
Feedback brochures are also available in all wards and departments — ask a staff member if you need help finding them.

Your right to complain when using a health or disability service
Your rights under the Code of Health and Disability Services Consumers' Rights are made available on the Health & Disability Commissioner website. One of those rights is the right to complain.

Let us know if you have a complaint as soon as possible, as this will make it easier for everyone to remember what happened. If you want help making a complaint Health and Disability Advocacy Service for free independent advice and support on 0800 555 050.
If you are not happy with the response you can either:
- write to our Consumer experience feedback team to have the issues reconsidered
- make a formal complaint to the Health & Disability Commissioner.
