Vascular surgery provides services to the Te Manawa Taki | Midland region. An excellent relationship between the department and radiological teams has led to the successful provision of endoluminal procedures for abdominal and thoracic aortic aneurysm repairs.
The department's duplex ultrasound laboratory provides a scanning service. Ultrasonographer sessions are also available.
Referrals are by healthcare providers such as GPs.
Non-acute (non-urgent) referrals will initially be seen at a cardiology clinic, cardiothoracic clinic or vascular clinic.
