Hours: Monday to Friday, 8am to 4pm
We can also see patients at Taupō Hospital.

Services we provide
The audiology department at Rotorua Hospital offers full hearing assessments and hearing aid fittings for all ages.
We can also test and advise on auditory processing and tinnitus (ringing in the ears).
We also support the Ear, Nose and Throat specialists in outpatient clinics.
Our services include:
- diagnostic newborn hearing assessment
- child diagnostic hearing assessment
- child hearing aid fitting
- adult diagnostic hearing assessments
- adult hearing aid fittings (conditions apply)
- Enable New Zealand-funded hearing aid fittings
- Assistive Listening Device counselling
- hearing aid repairs
- loan equipment for use by hearing-impaired inpatients.
Hearing aid service eligibility
The service is available to:
- all tamariki up to 16 years
- rangatahi up to 21 years who are studying at a tertiary institution
- adults with a Community Services Card
- adults who have severe to profound hearing loss (conditions apply)
- adults who are eligible for a hearing aid subsidy from Enable New Zealand

Our hearing aid service is not available to ACC clients or Veterans Affairs patients, who have access to other services.

We accept referrals for children and adults from medical practitioners, education professionals and healthcare workers in the community.
