District nursing

Wellington — Capital and Coast

The full district nursing service operates Monday to Friday from 8am to 4:30pm, with reduced service on evenings and weekends. 

An on-call service operates between 10pm and 8am.

Hutt Valley

The full district nursing service operates Monday to Friday from 8am to 4:30pm, with reduced service on evenings and weekends. 

Shuttle services

Wellington — Capital and Coast

Shuttle services operate between Wellington and Kenepuru hospitals. Patients, their caregivers and visitors can use this shuttle van service to travel between Kenepuru and Wellington hospitals free of charge.

You need to book a seat on this service, preferably at least 1 hour before travel.

Hutt Valley

The Wellington Free Ambulance patient transfer service takes people to scheduled medical appointments and treatments.

This is a pre-booked and arranged service that is accessible on a referral basis, and is organised by your healthcare provider.
