Services we provide

Cardiology services are delivered by various health professionals, including cardiac interventionists (heart specialists), specialist nursing and allied health staff.

Cardiology services available include:

  • cardiac rehabilitation
  • echocardiography services
  • percutaneous coronary intervention
  • physiology services
  • specialist nurse-led services.

Cardiology services are available at Nelson Hospital. Most are also available at Wairau Hospital.

Interventional procedures require a pre-admission clinic. This is carried out at both Nelson Hospital and Wairau Hospital.
