Physiotherapists work with patients to improve their physical function and mobility following an injury. Our physiotherapy departments provide outpatient services to people across Health New Zealand | Te Whatu Ora Nelson Marlborough, including ACC funded clients.

Services we provide
Physiotherapy outpatient services in Nelson Marlborough include:
- musculoskeletal and orthopaedic
- rheumatology
- neurology
- respiratory
- women's health
- pulmonary rehabilitation
- hand therapy and splinting
- hydrotherapy
- access to the physiotherapy department.
Outpatient services include treatments for people with funding from ACC (The Accident Compensation Corporation).
Our physiotherapists are all registered with the Physiotherapy Board of New Zealand and comply with the Health Practitioners Competence Assurance Act (HPCA). Our service complies with the code of rights and responsibilities for patients, clients and residents.
Referral information
You can be referred to the physiotherapy department by:
- your healthcare provider
- hospital doctors
- the emergency department
- ACC.
You can also refer yourself. Referrals are prioritised by a senior physiotherapist.
