Health New Zealand | Te Whatu Ora is seeking visionary clinical leaders to help shape the future of Māori health.
At the heart of this transformation is the appointment of a Hauora Māori Chief Medical Officer — a national leadership role with the power to influence system-wide change and uplift communities through culturally anchored, clinically excellent care.
This is more than a job — it’s a calling to lead with purpose, honour Te Tiriti o Waitangi, and embed Māori models of care across the health system.
About the role
As the National Chief Medical Officer within the Hauora Māori Service, you are joining a team of Clinical Leaders to provide strategic direction and be a clinical compass guiding our national efforts.
You’ll provide expert leadership and advice across the organisation, championing clinical excellence and driving transformation programmes that honour Māori models of care and Pae Ora aspirations.
