Wellington City Hospitals

Wellington Regional Hospital in Newtown is the main tertiary hospital in the region, offering specialised services such as intensive care, cardiac surgery, cancer care, neurosurgery, and renal care. It serves as the primary referral centre for the lower North Island and upper South Island.

Te Wao Nui, based in a new children's hospital on the Wellington campus, provides inpatient and outpatient care for infants, children, and adolescents needing medical treatment or pediatric surgery.

Women's Health Services at Wellington and Hutt Regional Hospitals, along with Kenepuru's Primary Birthing Unit, provide tertiary maternity care, including community-based LMC care, breastfeeding support, and specialised obstetrics and gynaecology services.

Hutt Valley Hospital

Hutt Hospital offers secondary and some tertiary medical and surgical services, as well as community-based healthcare.

The hospital provides funding to local health providers but also works together with the community to develop and support various health education initiatives and projects.

Hutt Hospital serves as the main centre for five tertiary regional and sub-regional services, which include Plastics, Maxillofacial and Burns Services, Rheumatology, Dental Services, Regional Public Health, and Regional Screening Services for Breast and Cervical health.

Porirua and Kapiti Coast Hospitals

Kenepuru Community Hospital and Kapiti Health Centre provide secondary and community services based in Porirua and the Kapiti Coast.
