In native tissue sling surgery, a 'sling' of your own body tissue, taken from the abdomen or thigh, is made to support the urethra.

In this surgical option for urinary incontinence, the vagina is lifted and stitched in place. This lifts and supports the bladder and helps stop or reduce wee leaking.

Mesh tape sling is a surgical option for treating incontinence. A piece of synthetic (plastic) mesh tape is placed behind the urethra to support it in a sling.
