Services we provide
Our immunisation team provides:
- school-based immunisations — HPV (human papillomavirus) and Boostrix (diptheria, tetanus, whooping cough)
- outreach immunisation services — support for whānau who have not been able to immunise their children on time. We help with making appointments, transport, advice and information, or immunisation at home or other locations
- immunisation coordination services — support for general practices and midwives with advice, overseas immunisations, catch-ups, up-to-date information and cold-chain accreditation
- education — our coordinators are available to talk with parents, individuals and groups about immunisation as required
- clinics — for example, tuberculosisis (BCG) clinics for eligible babies and children.
Referral information
Referrals to immunisation services in South Canterbury are usually from your practice nurse or midwife. You may also refer yourself if you need outreach services or to attend a clinic for BCG.
