Services we provide

We deliver high quality patient-focused care, from assessment and diagnostic investigations to individualised treatment plans and follow-up care.

We treat people with a wide range of disorders, such as:

  • bleeding and clotting disorders (also known as haemostasis and thrombosis)
  • red cell diseases (such as anaemia)
  • malignant haematology conditions (all forms of disease affecting the bone
  • marrow and lymph nodes including leukaemia, lymphoma, myeloma, myelodysplasia and myeloproiferative diseases)
  • non-malignant haematology conditions (such as marrow failure, immune or vascular disorders affecting blood cells).

Our haematologists and a research team also run a research programme to improve the standards of care offered to our patients. This can involve taking part in clinical trials with access to treatments and drugs not normally available in New Zealand.
