The inpatient oncology ward at Christchurch Hospital is for people with cancer who need to stay in hospital.

We are open to visitors every day from:
- 11am to 1:30pm
- 3pm to 8pm

Services we provide
You may be admitted to this ward:
- for your treatment
- to help control your symptoms.
You can stay on the ward if you have a family member getting treatment. Talk to the nurse in charge of the shift so they can arrange a stretcher bed.
Referral information
You will usually be referred to the cancer and haematology service after receiving a diagnosis. A referral can be from a surgeon or a doctor from another speciality after doing tests and investigations.
We do not take referrals from the general public.
